3 Of Our Favorite Phoenix-Inspired Cocktails and Mocktails!

The Phoenix Cocktail

This cocktail is so good your mouth might start watering just by looking at it – ours did! We love this recipe from the wonderful gals over at Cali-Zona. This recipe was inspired by the Arizona desert and Phoenix, both the city and the mythical bird creature. This yummy drink uses oranges, black pepper, and rosemary sprigs to make a desert-worthy drink. Add gin for the cocktail version or skip it to make a mocktail.

Berry Good!

Oh man, oh man…at Fresh From the Kitchen, we’re suckers for berry cocktails. They’re an absolute fave in our kitchen. When we saw Arizona Foothills Magazine’s feature on this Berry Goldwater and Arizona-inspired cocktail, we knew we had to feature it in this post. Made from the legendary Phoenix mixologist’s at Cowbody Ciao, the Berry Goldwater Cocktail is a wonderful treat for your taste buds. Key ingredients include acai vodka (yep, it’s a thing!), berries, and sage. This drink is best served as a cocktail but can also be made into a mocktail by substituting the acai vodka and Bertagnolli Mirtillo with acai juice.

* 2 oz Acai Vodka
* 1 oz Bertagnolli Mirtillo
* 1 Tablespoon blackberries
* ½ Teaspoon Sage
* 1 Lemon

Arizona Sunset Mocktail

The iconic Arizona Sunset cocktail/mocktail is a must-have on our list of favorite drinks. Afterall, a drink that celebrates the stunning Arizona Sunset is one we can’t pass up! Another cool fact? This mocktail recipe is enjoyed around the world! The drink itself is very easy to make; just combine Sprite, Orange Juice, and Grenadine (a tart and sweet syrup flavoring for drinks) and you’re done! The deep red color of the Grenadine mixes with the yellow/orange color of the juice to make a stunning visual sunset in your glass! The recipe below is for a mocktail, to make it into a cocktail simply add 2 oz of your favorite alcohol (we recommend tequila or triple sec.)
